Vivian is the signature fragrance of V Botanicals, named for my great-grandmother, Vivian Valentine—the woman whose name inspired the V itself.
Gentle and kind. Playful and intuitive. Humble, joyful, and quietly strong. She possessed the sort of power that never needed to announce itself—and was capable of a little bit of magic.
Vivian was not originally formulated as her portrait. She revealed herself in it.
The fragrance opens with the softly inviting sweetness of Cape Chamomile, illuminated by the beautiful edge of white orange blossoms, known as Neroli. Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, and Rose unfold into a smooth, romantic floral heart—feminine and sensual without becoming sharp or overly floral. A flicker of Cardamom brings warmth and playful energy.
And underneath it all lies an unexpectedly powerful foundation.
Mysore Sandalwood, Vanilla, and Patchouli create a creamy, softly sweet warmth against the skin. Some of perfumery’s most commanding botanicals are present here—yet none asks to be noticed above the others.
Together, they become something remarkably gentle.
Soft. Warm. Charming. Playful. Joyful.
There is an innocence to Vivian, but never fragility. Her strength isn’t hidden; she simply has no need to prove it. The closer you come, the more she reveals—a warmth beneath the flowers, depth beneath the sweetness, and something quietly powerful beneath all that effortless joy.
She carries the past without being burdened by it and looks toward the future with wonder.
Everything she may one day become is already there.
Perhaps that is the magic of Vivian.
